Matt left Thursday

Yes 'tis true that Matt flew out that morning with his dad. He called later, when they got in, to say everything went better than expected. See I told you that Matt was a good traveller,on the plane that is. He was going for shots today. Todd joked that was a terrible way to turn one. Doesn't seem as if it has been that long. But he got his hair cut yesterday, too, so maybe he looks one now. They're going to send me a curl! AH!

Totally afraid of WHAT

Hey! Now I'm not one to sound alarm but............. There's a weatherman out here that announced on his weather cast that the days are getting longer. This with the same intensity in his voice that global warming mandates.!! I don't think so! However if the days are getting as long as he says what will happen when the daylight last until...........and the night shrinks to say 8 hours? Soon will the nightshift cease to exist.?? Ah! Come on! It happens every year. I wonder if they flattened those mountains could they stave off the long night? More urgently should someone tell the weatherman that it's all right.

How to know it's Saturday

Saturday is a very predictable day in Virginia. Read whatever in that. Routine! Heaven knows I'm not too much into routines.

Well I'm off

I Know! I've been off most of my life but if Cody doesn't leave to get Tina soon I WILL have to wear this mop back to Virginia. Challenged?? Yes I am! And before I forget if you leave the "E" out of leave, how come spellcheck doesn't get it?? What kind of a word is 'LAVE" anyway. Use lave in a sentence. I certainly have never. Maybe that's a good thing. Hmm, maybe I better look it up. You think.?

Still in VA

Hey that's not the hospital, it's the state. It's not all that bad for a state either. By that I mean it's not home. I guess some would consider it that, just not me. Not now or later for that matter. It's not that there's not things to do, but rather that it just is not layed out in a way conducive for me to do them. I don't think straight describes any road out here. And thankfully, the house faces the morning sun, so my directions are in tact when I arise. O, and did I mention that the keyboard is a DERANGED LAPTOP. Understandably not the fault of the state! Now how did that line get under this part.?? Could be the LINE FAIRY!

Who darns pantyhose anymore?

Guess the weather is too nice to stay in and here I sit writing to you. I guess as things stand now we are going to leave Tuesday morning for Virginia. Hopefully the weather will be this nice then. Mom is almost packed. Me? I haven't even started. Probably tomorrow afternoon. Notice that I said probably. As mam-maw would have said I feel like I been drug through a knot hole backwards. As a kid I never understood that, but now I think I'm just starting to get it. She had a lot of those sayings. Mom got a permanent this morning. I took her. Fog as thick as pea soup. I have no idea where that saying came from. Anyway took her to GW before I took her home. She found a suit that I carried around for 45 minutes before she decided that it wasn't needed. She did find a pair of new pantyhose in the original package for .99, so she did get something. You know that she darns her pantyhose. Hold over from the war, I guess.

Cody is on his way!

Oh he's just going to Evansville! But he is on his way. He has one more year at DePauw in Greencastle and then we'll really see where he's bound. Never mind what I hope, he's pretty much his own man.I went to the Post Office twice today. I had to mail a trade to Lithuania and it came to $18.00. Come on! I don't even know this guy and $18! No way! So I re wrapped it at home and took it back. This time $5. Felt like I was getting a bargain. Then I went to Walmart to pick up glue for another swap. The glue was $2 but it came to $11 at the checkout. You know me,I had to pick up a few more things. Ken called when I got to Krogers. We are leaving for Virginia Wednesday morning. I sure would like to be driving a different car out there. (Huge sigh!0)The knitting can travel with us, I really need to get other stuff done.

In Virginia!!

Got here sometime yesterday afternoon. Saw Todd. Maidy was still on her way home.We stoppped at an antique mall in Hancock Md or Pa. We went in and out of states so much I'm not at all sure. Anyway I was able to get some more mugs. I love it only I don't have room in the cabinet for more. As long as I'm doing swaps I'm not worried because one goes each time. They had some teapots that were really cute. Left them on the shelves, wah! Hancock had a restaurant that was highly recommended and highly tasteless. Weaver's was its name. Nice and clean and tasteless. Dh did like his Philly like sandwich. The whole bill was $26.00 for the two of us. Ate twice at McD's coming down for less than $9. Nuts!!
