the OK corral

Remember that movie? John Wayne and other! Well this evening that's where I am-figuratively speaking. Matt is having some major decision making problems. Funny how good communication could render them all solved. SIgh! Someday! But then you never would have had that movie!

Just one of those crazy things

I hope you're looking at the links I put up on the side. They're really good and projects I intend to try. My hall tree is full of purses right now. Some to trade and some that I just can't Maybe. Someday.

Why? or Y

Somebody had better tell me why I'm so thirsty? They told me that no salt was used on the tenderloin! Liar! Did you know that Indiana is the only state that makes a decent tenderloin sandwich. There's another why!!

Pace yourself!!

I must remember to time myself! Yeah right! As if I need something else to do. Bad enough that I started a project the other day so now that makes 3 ont that I can remember and oh yes there's the socks for somebody really small that never quite made it past the toe. now I wonder what else I could find if I only took time to look! I put the NORO up so I wouldn't be tempted. So far it's working. Someone told me that I should teach Matt to knit! Look at the wallpaper on my cell. I'm so glad that I know him!!

Cowl won't moo!

I finished knitting my cowl for class yesterday after we got back from Bloomington. Now all I have to do is write the instructions and take it over to JoAnnes. Time!! . Either use an 11 or a 13 for it. O yes Question! There's a 10 1/2, but why not a 12?? Good question! Right?!

Soup's on

Seriously!!! It's potato!! Now let me tell you how!

A 3x3 piece of ham. I bought all that ham when Nanny was here. Remember?
4 potatoes, too small for bakers
Wash them! Matt wanted to really wash them, think machine, but just scrub and peel off the ugly.
Cut up and boil in water until tender along with the ham.
Meanwhile cut up half a white onion and add that to water.
Boil as long as you want but 10 minutes max.
Now add Coffemate. Yes that's right. It's the powder kind and the whole idea is to make it creamy. Remember Dad/Pappy couldn't have milk. Any way I bought all that creamer stuff. So let's use it up. And, yes, I am aware that Coffeemate has milk in it. But Dad wasn't allergic;and Mom didn't use that much as evident by what's left.

Pepper it. Really pepper it. Add a bay leaf if you have any.
When it is nice and bubbly turn off heat and add half a package of chopped, frozen spinach.

It's good! Excuse me, I think I'll go add those candied carrots from the restaurant.

Whoops! Thinking again!

Hey!! I am just wondering, as I watch the FOOD NETWORK. Is it possible to get an IDAHO potato in England? China? Peru? Australia? South Africa? I don't know why but sometimes I just have to wonder! The boys would say that I mustn't let my mind wander too far. It may get lost!! Can't afford that!!

He's been up since about 7:30 and fully intended to go again! Got to love the kid!! BenGay is now a friend to me again!! Bless his heart, I mean heat! You never realize how sweet youth is. Really!!
